Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is an autonomous body
established under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of
India. It is responsible for regulating and supervising the food safety

are three categories of FSSAI registration based on the size and nature of the

State License: For
medium-sized food businesses with an annual turnover between ?12 lakhs and ?20
crores.
FSSAI
Central License:
For large-scale food businesses with an annual turnover exceeding ?20 crores,
importers, exporters, etc.
FSSAI
registration involves submitting an online application along with the required
documents and paying the applicable fees.

Regulation:

regulates food safety and standards in India through various regulations,
guidelines, and standards.
It lays
